Well over 100 coloring pages in very small and detailed size – designs printed on one side with verses on the reverse

The designs are all licensed from Shutterstock and only a few of them are Christian in nature. They also appear to have been much larger images that have been sized down to fit in this book. Because of this, many of the designs have very small elements for coloring.
I found that I had to use gel pens and markers with small tips in order to color in these. For the sample photo I will post that I finished, I used Pilot Juice Ballpoint Gel Pens in size 0.38mm. I might have been able to use .5 for most but not all of the parts of this designs.
The designs are printed on one side of cream colored paper. Bible verses are printed on the reverse of the page. The pages are fairly thin and somewhat smooth to the touch. Many of the designs merge into the binding area. The binding is sewn rather than glued so you could remove several pages at a time without losing any portion of the design by simply snipping a few threads.
The book, while small, is thick. It made it a little more difficult to work with (along with the tiny elements.) These two difficult areas of working with this book is why I gave it a four star rating. I decided not to try to finish this design quickly. Instead, I spend time after lunch for a couple of days coloring it. That way, I could also meditate on one of the verses each day as I colored.
The Bible verses in the book are from a variety of translations, including: The Holy Bible, Contemporary English Version, The Holy Bible, English Standard Version, The Holy Bible New International Version NIV, the New King James Version, and The Holy Bible, New Living Translation.
When testing for coloring medium reaction with the paper, this is what I found:
Alcohol and water-based markers all leak through to some degree (except Tombows brush end which left a colorful shadow on the back of the page.)
India ink pens left colorful shadows on the page of the page.
Gel pens did not leak through but some (Tekwriter and Fiskars) left shadows when using dark or bright colors.)
Coloring pencils work well with this paper. Both oil and wax based pencils put down good color with both a light and firm touch. They both layered well. Wax based pencils did better in blending. Hard lead pencils left slight dents on the back of the page.

A Memorial Keeper

This Little Coloring Book is amazing... The illustrations are well done mostly; flowers, trees, hearts, birds and the like. Paper is good quality. It fits perfectly in my purse making it a great traveling/ waiting in the waiting room /visiting someone who needs encouragement, companion. I brought this sweet little book to visit my Mom as she laid in her sick bed unable to move, speak or see very well... I read her the three verses printed on each page and then described some of the illustrations on the adjacent page... It was a lovely visit with her... And her face brightened up by hearing the Word of the LORD read to her... Mom passed away two weeks ago... I now have this lovely little coloring book as a memorial of a very tender time her and I spend together... It's a keeper!

A sweet little coloring book!

I love this book. I gave it as a gift and then added it to my own wish list. I was surprised to find that it was a much smaller size than what I had expected. It's about the size of a hand with the fingers spread out. Although the small size was unexpected it's one reason I love it so much. It means it fits in my purse easily and it takes less time to finish a coloring project and to feel successful about what you've done. I bought this set of markers to give with the book. They are very fine tipped but it seems to work well since there is a lot of fine detail in the coloring pages. What a beautiful way to meditate on God's word!
